NHS Fraud alert

We have been made aware that  fraudsters have contacted people within Greater Manchester claiming to be a clinician working with the practice. Once gaining trust they have offered medication or another service for a small fee.
 

Our staff should always be calling from the practice number although our pharmacy team currently are calling from non-withheld numbers. This is something we are actively addressing. No practice staff should or would ask for your bank details. We are obliged to check some identifiable information to ensure we are speaking with correct person however if you are unsure about someone’s identity, we welcome you to challenge any unfamiliar staff. If in doubt, please end the call and contact the practice directly.
